The Financial Controls Oversight Consultant supports Group Finance by advising on financial reporting risks and controls, and reports these issues to the FRDCF Committee and other governance bodies About the role Review end-to-end processes to confirm controls are effectively designed and address gaps, Test control design and operation, Provide management support to senior stakeholders across the Group, Assist Group Finance with their FRDCF attestation every six months, Support the FRDCF Manager in maintaining methodology and standards, Ensure timely, high-quality outputs from Champion Groups and Process Owner Forums, Help monitor and report on control issues and deficiencies, Present data, reports, and presentations professionally to committees and leadership, Aid training, coaching, and supervision within Group Finance and the wider business, Ensure controls are tested, risks are managed, and findings are reported according to escalation procedures. About you Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Strong knowledge and experience of control frameworks, ideally from an insurance environment, Knowledgeable about proposed regulatory changes so far as they impact financial reporting, Good communication skills, both face to face and report writing including the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately, Proven ability to manage workload and set priorities, Proven ability of questioning current practices and recommending/implementing alternative solutions, Audit/SOX experience would be beneficial, Strong MS Office skills IT Controls testing experience would be advantageous.
