FTE: 1 (35 hours/week) Term: Open-ended
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Practitioner to join the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry. This role is ideal for a professional with a passion for delivering sustainable improvements and managing a broad range of risks, ideally in a high-hazard science environment. Qualified to degree level with relevant safety qualifications, you will provide strategic and operational leadership in health, safety, and sustainability. You will oversee the department’s health and safety management system, promote a positive safety culture, and drive sustainability initiatives in line with the University’s strategic vision.
Key responsibilities include incident investigations, risk management, auditing, and ensuring compliance with best practices.
