Our school values creativity, diversity, and high standards of achievement. We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Role Overview As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of high-quality education. You will assist pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to reach their potential. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment Support pupils during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities Candidate Requirements Previous experience working with children (school, nursery, or care setting) Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach Desirable Skills & Experience Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as autism or ADHD Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Read Write Inc.)
