Branch Manager - Freight Forwarding
Location: South Derby
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus up to £20,000

We are recruiting for an experienced Branch Manager to lead a well-established freight forwarding operation in South Derby. This is a key leadership role within a fully multi-modal business, managing a team of around 25 people and driving both operational excellence and commercial growth.
The Role
As Branch Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance of the branch, ensuring high service standards, strong financial results, and continued business development. Time-critical logistics is a major part of the operation, so experience in urgent or high-priority freight movements will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
Full P&L responsibility for the branch
Leading, motivating, and developing a team of approximately 25 staff
Managing and growing key customer relationships
Driving new business development across all freight modes
Ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence, particularly within time-critical shipments
Maintaining compliance with all industry regulations and internal standards
About You
Proven experience in a Branch Manager or senior leadership role within freight forwarding or logistics
Strong knowledge of multi-modal freight (air, sea, road, and rail)
Background in time-critical or urgent freight operations is highly desirable
Commercially astute with strong people management skills
Results-driven with the ability to lead by example
