Job Description
As an EC&I Project Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of electrical, control, and instrumentation projects in a COMAH Tier 1 environment. You'll be responsible for managing technical scope, engineering compliance, and project execution from design through to commissioning.
Role responsibilities:
1. Take ownership and responsibility for the execution of all assigned work
2. Define fit-for-purpose engineering solutions
3. Deliver a budget/estimate, schedule, multi-disciplinary detailed design, detailed scope(s) of work, specifications, commissioning plans, training plans, and final documentation for all assigned projects
4. Support the project manager(s) with the definition of programmes and budgets
5. Support the project manager(s) with monitoring and reporting of project performance and change management
6. Ensure all work is executed in compliance with all company and client processes
7. Support the successful execution of assigned projects safely, and in line with specifications, budget, and programme
8. Support and promote all company and client site directives – HSEQ, best practice, innovations, continual improvement
9. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competence to support the role and to align with client’s and industry’s requirements and directives
11. Strive for efficient delivery via initiatives such as “right first time” and “fit for purpose”
12. Communicate and cooperate with all affected parties to support efficient and effective project delivery
Requirements:
* Degree/HND in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in EC&I project delivery within industrial/process sectors
* Certifications: BS7671:2018 (C&G 2382-15), CompEx, and Functional Safety (IEC 61508)
* Strong understanding of CDM, ATEX, and Electricity at Work Regulations
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multi-disciplinary teams
