Our service in Kirkintilloch (Waterloo St) is a Registered Care Home model consisting of two purpose‑built/designed bungalows, each accommodating three individuals with complex support requirements. The bank contracts offer flexibility over days and hours; tell us when you’re available and we’ll look to give you shifts that fit.
Overview
We don’t require previous care experience to join our team as a Support Practitioner. We recruit on values and transferable skills. We provide full training along with the opportunity to complete your SVQ.
Responsibilities
* Assist with all aspects of daily living including support with personal finances, prompts with medication and personal care, attending appointments and activities, and providing emotional and social support.
* Support individuals on an outcome‑based programme to grow in confidence and learn life skills to increase independence.
* Take an active interest in residents’ hobbies and social activities, including walks, social clubs, volunteering and shopping.
* Help individuals explore new opportunities and reduce social isolation.
Requirements
* Must hold a manual driver’s licence.
* Empathetic and caring nature.
Qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* IT literate.
* Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
* Good organisational skills.
Shift patterns
We provide tailored support 24/7. Shifts include days, evenings, sleepovers, wake‑ups at night, weekends and bank/public holidays.
