The Role – Vehicle Technician
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Automotive Service Technician to join a busy dealership workshop.
You will be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards across a range of vehicles. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys working with modern automotive electronics, advanced diagnostic equipment, and varied mechanical repair work.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance
* Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding
* Repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
* Complete road testing to verify repair quality
* Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
* Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and warranty documentation
* Support service advisors with technical information when required
* Maintain clean, safe, and professional workshop standards
Candidate Profile
* Experience as a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
* NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair preferred
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Full UK driving licence
