We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational, educational and leadership skills who has the ability to help to develop an in house training programme. The post holder will need to be an experienced clinician and enjoy training.
The post holder will be supported by the Lead Education Programme Director to deliver an education and training programme- including developing competencies, providing supervision and mentorship as well as supporting the development of rotational programmes across the trust. This post would suit a highly motivated and innovative individual with an ability to influence, engage and challenge with integrity and credibility.

Main duties of the job
* To lead on design, delivery and coordinate the education and training programme for ASPH
* Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters within clinical setting.
* Develop local pharmacist competency in line with national frameworks e.g RPS,CPPE and NHSE workforce training and education.
* Work with the Trust 'Academy' and local/regional education providers to ensure Medicines Management training needs of Trust Clinical staff are being met.
* To co-ordinate and help to shape the content of rotational programmes for Pharmacy staff, including Trainee Pharmacists and Foundation Pharmacist rotations, in liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
* Supervision and management of Pharmacists
* To support trust wide medicines management workstreams.
* Responsible for policy and service development with respect to education and training
* Support workforce to develop advanced practice

This is an ideal opportunity for you to build a specialist knowledge of education and training whilst further developing as a clinical pharmacist.
* Post-graduate diploma / MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
* Pharmacy degree (Master level 4 years)
* Independent pharmacist Prescriber, or be willing to complete training as Independent Pharmacist Prescriber
* Membership of RPS
* Higher qualification (E.g. MSc, PhD)
PROFESSIONAL/SPECIALIST/FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE
* Experience of teaching MPharm students and/or pre-registration pharmacist trainees
* Significant and current experience of providing a UK hospital clinical pharmacy service at NHS AFC band 7 level or above
* Supervision of undergraduates in a hospital pharmacy setting
* Experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy to acute medicine patients
* Practical experience of audit
* Ability to change systems while taking into account the needs of others (change management)
* Evidence of up to date CPD in clinical pharmacy
* Experience as a tutor for trainee pharmacist trainees
* Supervision of audit or research projects (e.g. undergraduate, pre-registration or diploma students)
* Experience of one-to-one, small and large group teaching, assessment and feedback
* Management of staff including recruitment, appraisal
SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES FOR ROLE e.g. communication, problem solving, leadership
* Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
* Ability to work under pressure and cope with stress
