Join to apply for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Staff Nurse role at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated nurse to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic ward.
We pride ourselves that for the past two years the ward has been the best performing nationally for the outstanding care our patients receive when attending with a hip fracture as rated be The National Hip Fracture Database.
The 34 bedded mixed trauma and orthopaedic ward takes patients directly from the Emergency Department, the Orthopaedic Outpatient clinic or home 24 hours a day. We are also the only ward within the Trust to accept traumatic spinal fractures which we take great ownership of. For the successful candidate there will be learning opportunities to progress knowledge and practice on spinal and trauma and orthopaedic care.
There is a strong emphasis on multi professional team working to ensure the patient is always at the centre and there is a high focus on rehabilitation.
