Solicitor - Agricultural Property - Exeter - 2-5 Years PQE

Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (depending on experience)
Chadwick Nott are delighted to be working with a highly respected South West law firm seeking a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Practitioner with 2-5 years' post‑qualification experience to join its well‑established Business Services Team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to specialise in agricultural and rural property matters within a collaborative, high‑performing environment, offering quality work and strong client service.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of agricultural and rural property matters, including:
* Sales and purchases of farmland and rural estates
* Agricultural tenancies and licences
* Easements, rights of way, and boundary issues
* Advising farmers, landowners, and rural businesses
* Liaising with clients, agents, and other professionals
* Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
* Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor, legal executive, or practitioner with:
* 2-5 years PQE in agricultural or rural property law (or strong interest in developing expertise in this area)
* Strong technical and drafting skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Confidence in managing matters independently
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
* Willingness to attend client meetings and external events
