This role sits at the heart of station operations, helping to ensure our stations are fully equipped, compliant and ready to serve customers—whether during day‑to‑day operations, planned engineering works or unplanned disruption.
About The Role
As a Service Support Officer, you will play a key part in supporting station management teams across the Merseyrail network. You will manage station ticket stock and timetables, support concession (CURSER) requirements, coordinate logistics and courier services, and maintain accurate station information across national rail systems. You’ll also take ownership of specific schemes such as the secure cycle shelter programme and provide administrative support for online learning tools and information screens used by frontline teams. This is a varied, fast‑paced role that requires strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your Day‑To‑Day
* Supporting station management teams to meet CURSER and concession requirements
* Managing ticket stock, timetables and information materials across the network
* Coordinating logistics, courier collections and deliveries to stations
* Supporting planned and unplanned service changes, including information cascade
* Maintaining accurate station information on national rail systems
* Administering the secure cycle shelter scheme
* Providing general administrative and operational support as directed
