This position is field-based, requiring on-site presence and/or daily travel to job sites.
Role Summary
The Craft Operations Trainer oversees training for utility construction operations, including craft workers and general foremen. This role demands strong management and supervision skills due to its high level of responsibility.
Responsibilities
1. Manage employee training and development, including maintenance of training records for refresher courses, technical skills, supervision, management, leadership, soft skills, and compliance.
2. Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.
3. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety regulations and standards.
4. Educate craft employees on standard procedures and processes.
5. Assist in developing craft training programs.
6. Track training progress for all craft employees.
7. Ensure certifications are current and up-to-date.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of five years of experience in all phases of telecommunication work (underground, civil, aerial).
2. CDL preferred.
3. Ability to travel 60-80% of the time.
