Where will you be working?
M Group Highways supports the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. We don't just build roads and bridges — we're building a better future and creating lasting social value for the communities we serve. You'll join our Civils projects team, delivering specialist civil engineering for both private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships through a collaborative approach.
What will you be doing?
* Providing the commercial function across projects to ensure successful delivery.
* Working within a team of talented professionals to coordinate all aspects of project delivery.
* Undertaking pre-contract setup, including forecasting, measurement, sub-contract tendering, and procurement.
* Managing the commercial aspects of projects, including valuations, budget monitoring, contract variations, and final accounts.
* Procurement and management of subcontract packages, supporting the commercial team.
* Producing and maintaining project forecasts to support financial reporting.
* Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
* Maximizing cash flow through control and valuation of works, invoicing, and payments.
* Managing and developing the commercial team, providing support and training.
* Ensuring legal and contractual compliance, including adherence to M Group standards and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
* Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a relevant subject.
* Commercial experience within the construction industry as a Senior QS or QS.
* Experience working on Highways and Civil Engineering projects.
* Strong knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Good organizational skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
