Key Responsibilities

Our supportive, driven and friendly Claims & Enforcement Team are looking for a driven and enthusiastic communicator to join them. You will be supporting the team to deliver a first‑class debt recovery service by issuing and managing legal proceedings in order to recover debts owed to client companies. You will engage with customers/debtors via telephone, correspondence and email in order to negotiate settlements and payment arrangements, assess affordability and vulnerabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident communicator who loves working with colleagues to achieve team targets with the opportunity for career progression.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Previous experience of using case management systems
* Previous experience of working in a debt recovery role within Finance, Utilities or Local Authority (desirable)


Knowledge

An understanding and knowledge of legal and court processes and procedures relating to debt recovery.

* Familiar with Lexcel and Data Protection Act compliance requirements (desirable)


Qualifications

* Educated to GCSE standard grade A-C in Mathematics and English (or equivalent)
* ILEX Legal Executive Diploma Level 3 or above (desirable)
* Qualifying Law Degree and Legal Practice Course (desirable)
