Salary up to £75,000 DOE
Kirks Vets has an amazing team that supports and builds one another up – we are a busy first‑opinion practice with a highly experienced and fulfilled team, and our days are filled with laughter.
We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of care. Excellent facilities include four large consult rooms, two operating theatres, digital X‑ray, ultrasound and an internal lab.
The modern practice is based in Sleaford, with local links to the city of Lincoln and train links to London. It offers the perfect opportunity for someone seeking a country setting with links to busy shopping and nightlife.
At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we’re trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
The Role
Kirks Vets is looking for a dedicated first‑opinion vet to work alongside eight other vets across two busy practices. The successful candidate will be involved in all general veterinary duties, both medical and surgical, and must be an exceptional communicator with a strong customer focus.
The standard working pattern at our Sleaford practice is a four‑day week with 10.5‑hour days; a flexible shift pattern can be agreed. Weekend cover will be 1 : 5 and there is no out‑of‑hours work.
About the Team and Culture
Across both sites we have a total team of eight veterinary surgeons, ten registered veterinary nurses, student veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants, supported by a full reception, admin, finance and other support staff. We have a certificate holder in cardiology and one of our vets is studying towards an ophthalmology certificate. The candidate will have ample opportunities to learn, be supported and be encouraged to fulfil their potential. We work closely with the RSPCA, CP and local wildlife and small animal charities.
