Personal Assistant to support a young boy access the community 4 hours term time 12 hours school holiday, HU7 area.
A PA is required to support a young boy with ADHD, Autism and Learning disabilities in the HU7 area of Hull, hours/ days are to be discussed at interview.
Key Responsibilities
* Take the young boy out after school; he is very active and enjoys swimming, rock up and trampolining.
* Provide transport to activities and ensure he is fit and active.
* Take the young boy for something to eat after school or make a meal that he likes at home.
* Organise outdoor activities such as going to park or the beach.
* Support the young boy in a caring, patient and confident manner during any situation that arises.
Ideal Candidate
* Thoughtful with a good sense of humour.
* Fit and active.
* Male PA preferably, with access to a vehicle; mileage will be met by the employer.
* Experience of working with children with ADHD, autism and challenging behaviour is an advantage but not essential; full training will be given.
* Genuine interest in working with a disabled child and ability to develop and build a relationship.
Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority/employer.
