Mendip Vale Medical Group are looking for further Patient Co-ordinators to join our team, as we expand in our friendly and innovative practices serving over 85,000 patients within our 10 sites in North Somerset, Bristol & South Gloucester.
As a Patient Co-ordinator you will assist and signpost patients to the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Patient Services Manager in delivering safe and efficient responses to patient requirements.
* Serve as the first contact in our telephone hub to patient enquiries and appointment booking requests.
* Make appointments by telephone and at the reception desk using a computerised system.
* Scan and file letters, manage clerical patient changes of address, complete forms and other administrative tasks.
* Check and complete tasks as appropriate.
* Create new patient records.
* Control all patient files and related admin to required quality standards and in line with information governance, GDPR and DPA regulations.
* Maintain accurate records.

Qualifications
* GCSE in English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continued learning/personal development in the relevant field.
* NVQ3 in Administration or equivalent, or working towards it.
Experience
* Experience in reception/customer service focused roles.
* Experience of reception/admin duties within Primary Care.
* Use of patient record systems (EMIS).
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary: £25,224 to £25,713 a year (pro rata based on agreed working hours).
