Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming how we power homes sustainably? We’re expanding our Low Carbon Energy Products Team and seeking an experienced Sales Team Leader responsible for inspiring and managing a frontline sales team promoting low-carbon solutions like Heat Pumps and Solar Panels to households across the country. Your team will represent Octopus Energy Services, working directly with customers to guide them in adopting low-carbon solutions in their homes. The role focuses on coaching, team development, driving performance, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. An interest in sustainability and a passion for showcasing the benefits of our offerings are essential.
What you'll do
1. Drive Results: Manage your sales team to identify and secure new business, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
2. Optimise Workflows: Distribute and manage sales leads efficiently across your team.
3. Inspire Excellence: Cultivate a high-performance culture through regular coaching, goal setting, and feedback.
4. Grow Your Team: Recruit and develop talent to build a high-performing team.
5. Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience: Ensure outstanding customer service and use feedback for continuous improvement.
6. Collaborate: Share best practices and develop a consistent approach across teams.
7. Promote Innovation: Advocate for new products and empower your team to become champions of low-carbon solutions.
What you'll need
1. Proven Leadership Experience: Successful management and motivation of a B2C internal (phone-based) team.
2. Customer-Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
3. Performance Management Expertise: Strong background in team development and performance tracking.
4. Sales Savvy: Experience in consultative B2C sales and building sales pipelines.
5. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
6. Technical Curiosity: Willingness to learn about low-carbon products and guide customers accordingly; background in Heat Pumps is a plus but not essential.
7. Passion for Sustainability: Genuine enthusiasm for decarbonisation and energy tech.
8. Office-Based: Ability to work from the office five days a week.
