Description
The Accounts Payable Assistant's responsibilities:
Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to the general ledger.
Maintain accounts payable records and ensure all transactions are documented accurately.
Monitor payment schedules and ensure suppliers are paid on time.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Respond to supplier queries and liaise with internal departments as needed.
Support the Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.Profile
A successful Accounts Payable professional should have:
Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance-related role.
Knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
