Are you a carer or someone who has simply considered a job move to help make a difference to people like myself with a physical disability? Sometimes simply helping someone in life like brushing their hair or helping them fetch a drink can mean a huge difference to someone like myself who is riddled with chronic arthritis at 38 with other complex health problems too. Community outings feel like a vacation trust me! If so, I am looking to recruit the ideal candidate into our current care team located in our family home in Newcastle under Lyme, Clayton.
You will receive:
1. £11.83 per hour
2. A pension if eligible
3. 5.6 weeks per year pro rata annual leave
4. Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
5. All work is fully contracted in compliance with UK employment laws
Hours available:
1 full time 36 hours per week contracted position. 9.00am-9.00pm working on a 3 day week. 2 Saturdays out of 4 on and 2 off fixed!
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
No nights, no Sundays!
All work is fully contracted in compliance with UK employment laws. Ad-hoc overtime is offered to staff if wanted but never just expected of you. It however is always appreciated!
What’s Required:
6. Preferably experience in care is desired but not essential as full training will be given, a compassionate understanding personality is essential.
7. A full clean UK driving licence is required, as I will sometimes need staff to assist me accessing the community in my own transport, which will be fully insured.
8. An enhanced DBS check, the cost will be met by the Employer, unless you can evidence a subscription to The Update Service
9. All staff are working 1:1 and full certified training is provided. You will be shadowed by competent staff until you are comfortable working alone supporting me.
