Personal Advisor – Leaving Care
Salary: £30,024 - £33,699 per annum (pro rata). Type: Fixed Term – 24 months. Hours: 30 hrs/week, 4 days a week, Part Time. Work Base: Thoresby House, Ollerton, NG22 9FF. Working Arrangements: Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of young people, offering tailored support and guidance.
* Advocating for young people’s needs and negotiating with other agencies to ensure they receive the necessary services.
* Assisting care leavers in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities.
* Building positive, sustainable relationships with a diverse group of young people.
* Supporting young people in developing emotional resilience and skills needed for independence.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
* A full driving licence (unless disability precludes this).
* Experience working with young people aged 16-21.
* Knowledge of legislation and guidance related to young people leaving care, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
