Salary: M1 – M6 (Inner London Pay Scale)
About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and motivated PE & Dance Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Southeast London. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, promoting physical literacy, teamwork, creativity and confidence through an engaging PE and Dance curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality PE and Dance lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Plan engaging and inclusive lessons that develop fitness, wellbeing, skills and performance
* Teach a broad curriculum including team sports, individual sports, various dance styles, choreography and movement
* Assess, track and report on student progress in line with curriculum expectations
* Create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and supports all ability levels
* Contribute to extracurricular activities such as dance clubs, sports teams, fixtures and school productions
* Support departmental development and whole-school wellbeing initiatives
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in PE and/or Dance, including National Curriculum requirements
* Ability to deliver safe, effective practical and theory-based lessons
* A passion for promoting physical wellbeing, teamwork and creative expression
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to motivating and challenging students to achieve their best
