This post will be supporting the Cancer Services Department to undertake data validation and tracking for patient pathways.
The post holder will liaise with Health Professionals and their teams in the Hywel Dda UHB gathering data and ensuring patients pathways are tracked appropriate utilizing the relevant patient management systems.
The post holder will assist the Cancer Services Team in the generation of reports, perform administrative duties and provide general administrative support to the Cancer Services as required.
Main duties of the job
Liaise with Consultants, Nurses and directorate teams and designated others within the Health Board. Communicate data upload / breach report deadlines, provide support, validation and advice and troubleshoot to facilitate data upload to timelines.
Communicate effectively about complex information relating to Cancer activity within the UHB to staff in departments, answering queries and problem solving.
Proactively lead on obtaining missing data uploads through varied methods of communication with Consultants, Health Professionals and other relevant staff.
The post holder will be expected to communicate effectively and provide support to clinical and administrative teams including Consultants, Health professionals, administrative and other staff regarding Cancer Data entry.
Responsible for conducting data quality reviews and audits in existing databases, sourcing and obtaining missing data from a range of sources and subsequently ensuring the accuracy of the data in the relevant cancer database. These activities will be under the supervision of the Cancer management team but will require a high level of personal responsibility for ensuring success.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Educated to level 3 or relevant equivalent experience
