Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Support the pupil in managing challenging behaviours, emotional regulation, and building positive routines
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement consistent support strategies
Help create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
Use de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to promote positive engagement
Track and report progress and behavioural developments, contributing to regular review meetings
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, ideally within a school setting
Be confident, calm, and resilient in managing emotional outbursts and behavioural incidents
Be empathetic and passionate about supporting pupils facing social and emotional barriers to learning
Be proactive, reliable, and able to follow personalised behaviour support plans
Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with staff, families, and external professionals
Have a strong interest in inclusive education, psychology, or behaviour support
