Aseptic and QA Pharmacist Band 7 or (Band 6 to 7 Progression)
Sutton Based (Expected to cover cross site if needed)
A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and dynamic pharmacist to join the pharmacy aseptic team at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
We are not specifically seeking prior experience for this role, although it is desirable; training can be supported. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work efficiently as a releasing pharmacist within a busy production unit and support quality assurance activities.
This is an incredible opportunity to join the team due to various exciting upcoming projects:
* A business case for building a new state-of-the-art Aseptic Suite has been approved. Works have commenced, and there will be opportunities to be involved in its validation and setup.
* The trust has implemented EPIC systems to enable paperless production, using validated computer and portable screen devices in clean rooms and isolators.
* A new microbiology lab/team is being established to carry out in-house QC testing.
The trust operates two hospitals: one in Chelsea, London, and the other in Sutton, Surrey. The Royal Marsden, in partnership with The Institute of Cancer Research, has an unrivalled reputation for patient care, research, and education.
The post involves working closely with other pharmacy team members and hospital staff to support aseptic and QA services. The post holder will assist senior managers, develop an understanding of QA, GMP, and QC, and contribute to ensuring the provision of aseptically prepared medicines.
Our hospital is a world-leading cancer centre committed to delivering the best care and advancing cancer research. We employ over 4,500 staff across various roles and offer a stimulating working environment with numerous benefits and development opportunities. Flexible working arrangements are supported to promote work-life balance.
