About The Role
To ensure optimal care and maintenance of stock and preparation for and resetting of stock for events within a clothing warehouse that operates primarily with manual processes. The role focuses on warehouse operations
Job Description
* Assist in taking in deliveries to warehouse and storing appropriately
* Assist in preparing events stock – picking and preparing, loading onto transport
* Assist in unloading returning events stock – unloading off transport, organising and restocking warehouse
* Organize stock within the warehouse to maintain clear visibility and easy access for picking teams.
* Support manual picking, packing, and restocking activities as required.
* Ensure correct segregation of damaged or defective items
* Follow all warehouse safety and manual handling procedures.
* Participate in periodic full physical inventory counts (stock takes).
Skills & Competencies:
* Ability to work in a manual, paper-based environment without relying on advanced warehouse management systems.
* Good organizational skills to manage multiple stock areas.
* Basic numerical and literacy skills for tally sheets and reconciliation logs.
* Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
* Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and counting stock.
* Team player with strong communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous warehouse experience preferred, ideally in clothing or textiles.
* Familiarity with manual stock control and counting processes.
* Forklift use within warehouse role required. Experience and qualifications using forklift machinery previously advantageous
* Full driving licence and confidence driving vans advantageous
Physical & Working Conditions:
* Manual handling of boxes and clothing items daily.
* Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
* Areas of the environment are non-climate-controlled.
* Overtime during peak inventory or seasonal periods
* Out of hours working required for loading and unloading events
