Role Overview
As an Engineer at TP ICAP you will act as a software engineer on a team demonstrating good technical competencies with a desire to improve on a consistent basis. Participate in the design, development and testing of software across the team with assistance from senior engineers. Ensure successful deployment into production environments, by participating in the design, deployment and testing of software across the team with assistance from senior engineers.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Be able to communicate the architecture and principles behind your work to other members of the team and the wider organisation.
2. Be proactive in supporting the team’s engagement in a well-defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritisation and delivery needs.
3. Support the team by helping with estimation of the work to be done by leveraging previous experience, challenging requirements, and fostering potential solutions.
4. Understand software systems so that it is possible to have meaningful conversations about wider system architecture with Senior Engineers.
5. Learn how to evolve systems towards target state architecture with directed refactoring and prioritisation of deliveries.

6. STEM Degree or equivalent industry experience.
7. Worked within an Agile Cross-functional delivery team.
8. Demonstrable professional experience of Full-stack Software Engineering using C# (.Net 8+) AND/OR Node.js, Typescript/JavaScript.
9. Developing well tested software released into production environments.
10. Full software development lifecycle in a technical role.
11. Worked within a technical platform team, delivering reusable services across multiple agile projects.
12. AWS cloud ecosystem and the AWS CLI (or industry equivalent).
13. Linux shell or Windows PowerShell.
14. CI and CD flows within an enterprise environment.
15. Agile tooling to support team delivery, such as JIRA, Monday, and other project management systems.
16. Experience of regulatory driven projects.
17. Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach.
18. Strong analytical ability and innovative problem solving skills.
19. SOLID Principles.
20. Software Design Patterns.
21. Source Control (Git).
22. Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals.
