Job Purpose We are seeking to appoint a part-time Cover Tutor in Public/Uniformed Protective Services to provide long-term cover for staff sickness.
The successful candidate will deliver teaching across Levels 1 (Introduction to Public/Protective Services) through to Level 3 (A-level equivalent).
You may have served in the Uniformed Public/Protective Services such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service, Paramedics, Customs and Excise, Security Services, custodial services, or other related sectors.
The uniformed protective services are defined as the armed services, police, fire and rescue service, and custodial services.
We also welcome individuals who have worked closely with the public/protective services sector through research, collaboration, partnership work, or other professional engagement.

This role offers the opportunity to develop as a lecturer in Public/Protective Services, supported by an experienced team of Programme Leaders who lead provision within the department.
Duties will include the preparation and delivery of engaging lessons for our learners, alongside associated administration, assessment, and internal verification practices.
We actively encourage practical and applied teaching approaches to bring learning to life.
The successful candidate will draw upon their professional knowledge and experience to ensure learners gain a meaningful, in-depth understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and opportunities available within Public/Protective Services.
Our ideal candidate will have industry experience within the armed forces or wider public/protective services sector.
Previous teaching experience is desirable; however, we also welcome industry professionals who are looking to take their first steps into teaching.
