Position: Building Control Surveyor / Senior Building Control Surveyor
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000+ DOE
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting site inspections across residential and commercial developments.
* Assessing plans and specifications for compliance with Building Regulations.
* Inspecting and approving foundations, excavations, drainage installations, reinforced concrete works, and structural groundworks.
* Providing technical guidance to developers, architects, contractors, and homeowners.
* Producing inspection reports and supporting projects through to completion certification.
* Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, legislation, and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience working within Building Control, either with a Local Authority or Registered Building Control Approver.
2. Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
3. Proven experience inspecting foundations, drainage, groundworks, and structural elements.
