The opportunity
Northreach is working with a specialist property lender seeking a Senior Property Finance Underwriter to support credit decision-making across its short-term lending portfolio. This role combines hands-on underwriting with broader responsibility for pipeline oversight and underwriting standards.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across underwriting, sales and risk, contributing to consistent credit quality and efficient deal execution.
Key responsibilities
* Underwrite and approve property-backed lending applications within delegated authority
* Maintain oversight of pipeline quality, progression and service levels
* Review and challenge valuations, exits, and legal due diligence
* Engage with brokers, introducers and professional partners on active cases
* Support the development and refinement of underwriting processes
* Contribute to credit governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
What we are looking for
* Senior underwriting experience within specialist or property finance
* Strong understanding of credit risk, property security and UK lending practices
* Ability to make balanced lending decisions in a commercial environment
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Confident stakeholder management and clear communication skills
