About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, inspiring, and dedicated Science Teacher to join our secondary school in Nottingham. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science.
This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified teachers who want to make a positive impact in a supportive and forward-thinking Science department.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the national curriculum.
Teach across KS3 and KS4, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, attainment, and personal development.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and engagement.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a culture of respect and achievement.
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities.
Participate fully in school life, including meetings, professional development, and pastoral duties.
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science).
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for your specialism.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development
