The Role
Are you passionate about finance and eager to make a significant impact? We are looking for a talented individual with finance experience to join our dynamic Weymouth support centre. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing cohesive, timely, and accurate financial records, ensuring that key stakeholders are well-informed for optimal decision-making.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Calculating and posting accurate transactional level data across Head Office, IT and store rates and insurance. This includes accruals, prepayments and cost allocations.
* Provide month end cost reporting and variance analysis, including detail and clarity on unexpected variances.
* Prepare month end balance sheet reviews, including commentary on key areas of the balance and reason for movement.
* Understanding of budgets and forecasts to identify risks and opportunities.
* Challenge and develop best processes for accurate, timely transactional level data.
* Ensure process notes are up-to-date and complete.
* Support other ad hoc monthly/quarterly tasks and queries.

Who You Are
* Ability to work under own directive as well as the wider team.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Good organisational skills with an attention to detail.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.
* Open to new ideas with practical experience in a profit-driven business.
* New starter or part-qualified accountant with strong financial understanding.
