Role

Scottish Refugee Council is seeking a Refugee Integration Adviser to join our team.

As a Refugee Integration Adviser, you will contribute towards the delivery of the Refugee Support Service for newly granted refugees across Scotland. Your role in supporting the integration of new refugees will include working directly with refugees, assessing needs, providing advice, and advocacy. You will do this by supporting clients to realize their goals and objectives, working closely with key agencies and services as appropriate.

You will be degree qualified or demonstrate equivalent experience, have an understanding of issues affecting asylum seekers/refugees, and it is essential that you are able to work with vulnerable groups in a sensitive manner. You will have a good command of English, the ability to write clear and concise case management notes, draft correspondence and reports. You will be able to work in high-pressure situations and have effective interpersonal skills, including an understanding of cultural differences.

This role reports directly to the Refugee Integration Service Manager.

Community InfoSource (CIS) roles

Community InfoSource (CIS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Befriending Coordinator and Caseworker to join our team supporting asylum seekers and New Scots in Glasgow.

This role combines one-to-one casework support with coordinating a volunteer befriending service aimed at reducing isolation and improving wellbeing among newly arrived asylum seekers. You will lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteer befrienders, and ensure that volunteers are well-supported in their roles and appropriately matched with clients.

Alongside this, you will provide basic casework support to individuals, while referring more complex cases to other caseworkers as needed. Where possible, you will communicate with clients in relevant community languages to ensure understanding, trust, and inclusive support.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both support work and volunteer coordination, and who is confident working with people from diverse backgrounds. The ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and remain sensitive to the experiences of those seeking asylum is essential.

This contract is subject to the successful completion of a six-month probationary period.

Community InfoSource (CIS) is also seeking a Caseworker to support asylum seekers and New Scots across Glasgow.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone compassionate, organized, and committed to social justice. The role involves providing one-to-one casework support to individuals navigating the asylum and immigration system or facing challenges related to employability, housing, access to services, welfare, or integration.

The Caseworker will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager and other team members to ensure people receive accurate information, advocacy, and appropriate referrals.

The role requires managing a varied caseload, building trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and contributing to CIS’s wider goals through collaborative working and knowledge sharing.

Community InfoSource (CIS) is also seeking a Male West African Fieldworker, a role with a genuine occupational qualification under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong community connections and a passion for empowering others. The role involves delivering community workshops, group presentations, and gender-based violence (GBV) workshops specifically targeting men, using relevant West African community languages to reach and engage participants effectively.

You will work closely with the Outreach Delivery Manager to design and lead workshops tailored to the needs of asylum seekers and New Scots from West African backgrounds. The work involves both one-off and ongoing group sessions, including awareness-raising around safety, rights, and accessing support.

You will support wider project goals by collaborating with colleagues and developing partnerships with external agencies and community groups. The role requires flexibility, cultural awareness, and effective communication across diverse communities.

The candidate must be able to work well with others in a small team, with a flexible schedule, and collaborate with other projects within the organization and with external organizations.
