Annual salary: up to £29,812.57 Accommodation Coordinator Location: Enfield Salary up to £29,812.57 per annum Contract: Full time – Permanent Hours: 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021 Mears had over 19000 service users across the three regions. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs. About the Role: As an Accommodation Coordinator the main role will be working as part of the initial accommodation team. Responsible for allocating bed spaces to service users quickly to minimise loss of income. This will include relocating service users to another property or finding new properties for new service users to move into. Keeping safeguarding and Service User experience at the heart of the service will be key to succeeding in this role. Ensure all Service User notifications are processed accurately and efficiently to match the Service User to a bedspace. An important part of the role is to work closely with regional teams and transport team throughout the whole service user process. Role Criteria: Allocate bedspaces to service users promptly to minimise income loss Relocate service users or identify new properties for incoming placements Prioritise safeguarding and service user experience in all accommodation decisions Accurately process service user notifications to ensure appropriate matches Collaborate closely with regional teams and the transport team throughout the placement process Maintain clear communication and coordination across departments Support operational efficiency by managing property turnover and occupancy levels Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for service users Demonstrate previous experience working in an office environment Confidently make and answer phone calls as part of daily coordination Carry out administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail Be IT literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft platforms (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Teams) Communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and service users, showing strong interpersonal skills Benefits we can offer you 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Annual Mears Fun Day - Our annual Fun Day is organised as a massive thank you from the Executive team for all the hard work!
