We are currently recruiting for a site operative for an Environmental Contracting firm.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30
Salary
£25k per annum. We would consider paying more to a successful candidate dependent on experience/qualification.
Job Description
The successful applicant will be joining an experienced team of staff whose main area of work is in Environmental Contracting.
We undertake a wide variety of work in the following areas:
River restoration
River weed cutting
Arboricultural work
Pond/lake/wetland creation and management
Construction of bridges
Construction of fishing platforms
Construction of boardwalks
Countryside access works
Environmental Consultancy
We are looking for a person who is:
* hard-working, reliable
* has a practical aptitude
* is personable and able to work well in a small team
* is motivated and independent
* has an eye for detail
* a full driving licence is required
* is looking to improve their skills and develop them through ongoing training
Desirable (not essential)
* plant operator certificates
* chainsaw certificates
* brushcutterexperience
* ecological and conservation interest
* understanding of construction
* first aid training
