Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves cultivating and maintaining gardens, ensuring that outdoor spaces are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will work with various tools and equipment, contributing to the overall beauty and functionality of the grounds.
Duties
* Cultivate and maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and lawns to promote healthy growth.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively for planting, pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance.
* Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and mulching.
* Monitor plant health and identify issues such as pests or diseases; implement appropriate solutions.
* Maintain cleanliness of garden areas by removing debris and litter.
* Assist in the design of new garden layouts or enhancements to existing landscapes.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
* Help with one off works when required.
Requirements
* Proven experience in gardening or groundskeeping is preferred.
* Knowledge of plant care, including growing techniques and pest management.
* Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
* Good physical stamina; capable of lifting heavy loads and performing manual tasks.
* A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transporting equipment or materials.
