Your focus will be on helping them engage with learning, regulate their emotions, and navigate the classroom routine. You’ll work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to follow support plans, adapt tasks, and build positive routines. The Candidate You’re a graduate with strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine interest in working with children with additional needs. Experience with SEN—whether through work, volunteering or family—is ideal. You’ll need to be calm under pressure and confident in building trust and consistency with a young learner.
