Community First Aider (Great Manchester)
Make a difference with St John Ambulance and become a lifesaver in your community. Gain new skills, support others, and be the hero your community needs!
At St John Ambulance, we are developing our volunteering offer to become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.
We seek passionate individuals who care about their communities and want to make a difference by sharing first aid skills and knowledge. As a Community First Aider, you will deliver first aid at local events and educate the public to promote the importance of First Aid.
You will also support community partnerships, grow our membership and fundraising efforts, and spread the message that First Aid Saves Lives.
Volunteering as a Community First Aider provides a sense of satisfaction and pride in delivering an essential service. It requires only a small time commitment and benefits you, your community, and our nation.
We will provide you with a proper induction, training, and a supportive environment. Details about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions, the volunteer charter, and what you can expect from SJA and our volunteers.
All candidates will be interviewed via Teams or at a mass interview venue between 26/05/2025 and 09/06/2025.
If successful, you will undertake induction and training on the following dates:
* Welcome Event (Induction): 07/07/2025 - 21/07/2025
* Role-specific training, which may include face-to-face and computer-based sessions at training venues.
The closing date for applications is 26/05/2025. For more information or to chat with someone about volunteering, contact our hiring manager, Roy Johnson, at roy.rjohnson@sja.org.uk.
