Role Overview
The role holder will serve as a key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into effective solutions and driving continuous improvement across projects and processes. Operating in a client-facing capacity, they will work closely with Nucleus, taking ownership of Nucleus Change Requests (NCRs) to ensure requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and successfully delivered. This position requires a combination of strategic insight, stakeholder management, and hands-on delivery to support both business objectives and client expectations.
With a strong focus on execution, the role requires an individual capable of navigating complex environments, managing competing priorities, and delivering at pace. Strategic insight, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on problem-solving are essential, alongside a commitment to driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.
The initial focus will be on supporting systems and change initiatives within the Curtis Banks portfolio, following the TUPE transfer to FNZ in February 2024. This may involve the delivery of a single large-scale solution or oversight of multiple concurrent initiatives, depending on business needs.
Specific Role Responsibilities
1. Business transformation support and consultancy services
2. Present and explain existing FNZ capability
3. Gather, document, and analyse business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis and ensure these are met
4. Define and challenge scope of the project
5. Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows and user stories
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, testers, and end-users
7. Regulation and advice on systems and platform compliance
8. Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions
9. Define business readiness processes and agree SLAs
10. Support project delivery from inception through to implementation and post-launch review
11. Develop and maintain key documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user guides
12. Conduct impact assessments, risk analysis, and business case development
13. Defect verification
14. Facilitate communication between business and IT to ensure solutions meet business objectives
15. Have a good knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the role operates
Experienced Required
Required Industry Knowledge
16. Financial Services experience preferably investment/wealth/life and/or pensions products and the markets in which FNZ and our customers operate in.
17. An understanding of the regulatory environment FNZ operate within.
18. Experience in leading the delivery of business-critical projects, preferably Software implementations within Financial Services.
Required Knowledge and Skills
19. Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a commercial or public sector environment
20. Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies
21. Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation
22. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or MS Office
23. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
24. Strong stakeholder management
25. Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.
