Role: Service Designer
Rate: £425 p/d (Inside IR35)
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 3 months
We are seeking an experienced Service Designer with Government Digital Service (GDS) experience to design and improve end-to-end public services. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure services are user-centred, accessible, and meet the GDS Service Standard.
Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Service Designer on GDS / UK public sector services
* Strong understanding of the GDS Service Standard and service assessments
* Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
* Ability to design for accessibility and inclusion
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Responsibilities:
* Design end-to-end services across the full-service lifecycle (discovery, alpha, beta, live)
* Create and maintain service blueprints, user journeys, and artefacts
* Collaborate with product, design, delivery, research, and technical teams
* Apply systems thinking to complex service problems
* Ensure services meet GDS Service Standard and assessment requirements
* Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders and users
