Role Description
We are seeking a confident and dedicated Nursery Room Leader for a full-time, on-site position based in Islington. In this role, you will oversee daily operations within a designated nursery room and lead a team of childcare practitioners. Responsibilities include planning and implementing age‑appropriate activities, monitoring children’s progress and wellbeing, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and team members. The Nursery Room Leader will play a key role in ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for every child in their care.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in early years education, including planning and leading engaging, age‑appropriate activities.
* Strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills to manage a team of practitioners effectively.
* Deep knowledge of child development, safeguarding policies, and health and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
* Recognized childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Early Years or equivalent).
* Passion for creating an inclusive and nurturing educational environment.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a childcare setting is an advantage.
