Catering Assistant (Outdoor Education Centre)
Location
Hothersall Lodge, Ribchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Salary and Hours
£13.45 per hour, 24 hours per week (pro‑rate £25,949 per annum).
Responsibilities
- Support the catering supervisor and cook in day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards across all catering areas.
- Prepare, cook and serve nutritious, high‑quality meals to guests.
- Check the quality and order of goods and ingredients.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure the dining room, kitchen and ancillary spaces are clean and orderly.
- Assist with catering duties for events, weekends and evenings as required.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proficiency in cooking and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Team‑orientated approach and good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
Desired:
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality kitchen.
- Experience working in an outdoor or educational setting.
