Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Senior CAD Technician. You will be based in one of our Scotland offices – Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness or Perth – and will also benefit from our flexible hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
* Digital Delivery: Responsible for developing design outputs from initial concepts through to fully detailed design deliverables.
* Utilise Digital Tools: Encourage the use of digital tools to review, influence, and enhance design quality processes.
* Champion BIM: Promote, articulate, and lead BIM behaviours on the projects.
* Coordinate Project Deliverables: Support coordination of deliverables for multiple projects, ensuring completion within budget. Provide support and manage project resources to facilitate production of deliverables.
* Team Relationship: Be proactive in relationships with internal project stakeholders, report progress or highlight any technical issues for timely resolution.
* Maintain Standards: Support the CAD Lead in maintaining CAD standards, best practices, and processes for modelling, content creation, and advanced digital developments.
* Design Team Meetings: Actively participate and contribute to design team meetings, championing the use of 3D model reviews and markups.
* Mentor Junior Technicians: Work across the Scotland offices supporting junior Revit Technicians from a technical perspective.
Qualifications
* Certified minimum of HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline, e.g. Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Experience in delivering project information in accordance with BIM standards.
* Proficient in using Civil 3D or Revit, with experience in validating and coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software.
* Experience working in a Common Data Environment such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar.
