Job summary
DBS uses an Oracle Fusion based system (�Metis�) for all financial, commercial and HR data and reporting processes. The post of Metis Support Officer supports the delivery of these key processes, maintains the integrity of system data and assists the DBS Finance, Commercial and HR teams with their day-to-day Metis queries. This role supports the maintenance of access and approval hierarchies, user permissions and other essential data structures. It also carries responsibility for data reconciliation, incident tracking and monitoring of change requests. Supported by the Metis Manager, the post holder is required to build and maintain Oracle Fusion reports, undertake user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage the transition process from our legacy filing systems across to MS SharePoint.
Job description
Core roles and responsibilities
1. User Support � monitor the Metis Hub mailbox, handle basic queries, raise service requests and escalate any complex cases/significant incidents to the Metis Manager.
2. Approval Hierarchies & Structures � monitor and maintain the Metis financial approval hierarchies, liaising with Finance, Commercial and HR service users as required.
3. System Access and Training � control and monitor Metis system access, maintain the integrity and security of data (by conducting regular system access checks) and provide training to new and existing users as appropriate.
4. Chart of Accounts - maintain the Metis chart of accounts and procurement category linkages.
5. System Testing � participate in user acceptance testing and data reconciliation exercises for incremental upgrades and deployment of additional Metis phases/functionality. Support the Systems Manager by entering and tracking all tests and changes that go through the Jira system, flagging any Home Office change notices that could impact on DBS.
6. Reporting & Report Construction � work with end users and HO to maintain and enhance the Metis reporting function. Utilise Oracle OTBI and OACS to build and test new reports, with support and guidance from the Metis Manager as needed.
7. Bankline - control access to the Bankline system, managing user accounts and account set access for DBS and SSCL in line with the requirements of DBS Financial Accounts.
8. Records Advisor- manage the DBS Finance Team corporate file plan (shared drive) and assist in the transition across to SharePoint. Also support the Metis Manager in his i-Manager role by monitoring the use and access of DBS finance team SharePoint sites.
9. Future Solutions / Enhancements � build an awareness and familiarisation with all new tools and functionality before it is rolled out to the wider Finance, Commercial and HR functions.
10. Provide cover in the absence of other team members plus any other ad hoc tasks as reasonably required by the role.

Essential Experience
11. Experience of working with Oracle Fusion.
12. Experience of working in a finance or HR environment.
13. Proven ability to assess and resolve problems.

14. Experience of working with Oracle Financial Reporting Studio (FRS/FRC), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OACS) and/or Enterprise Planning Budgeting Cloud (EPBC) / Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
15. Experience of using SmartView.
16. Experience of test management and user acceptance testing.
17. Experience of working in a public sector finance team.
18. Evidence of ongoing professional development/system-related training to keep up to date.
