Job Description
As an Equinox Pilates Instructor, you will develop and refine an approach to programming, education, and business development under the guidance of a Pilates manager. Your role is to empower clients and maximize both personal and client potential through Pilates instruction.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop a safe, professional, comprehensive Pilates training program for each client to help them reach their goals and stay motivated
* Conduct initial complimentary assessments and goal setting to tailor Pilates programs
* Instruct private, duet, and semi-private sessions
* Collaborate with the Pilates Manager to build your book of business
* Complete all administrative requirements related to client management
* Collaborate with other club departments to ensure a well-rounded member experience
* Provide excellent customer service to Equinox members and guests
* Maintain consistent client activity to help clients achieve results
* Participate in ongoing training and development
* Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness
* Build your business with flexible hours (10-40 hours per week)
Qualifications
* Completion from a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program or certification on all Pilates apparatus including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, and barrels
* Minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education through a certified program
* Ability to provide a valid copy of Pilates certification(s)
* Exceptional customer service skills
Essential Physical Requirements
* Standing, sitting, and walking
* Squatting, bending, and reaching
* Pushing, pulling, and the ability to safely spot and correct clients during sessions
