The Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR-CTSU) is expanding its statistical and methodology team.
Responsibilities
* Research, develop, and implement efficient trial methodology to improve patient outcomes.
* Apply statistical knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas in oncology.
* Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of statisticians.
Applications are open for the Trials Methodologist / Senior Trials Methodologist (Statistics) position to join a team of over 20 statisticians. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic academic environment at a leading cancer clinical trials unit.
Key Requirements
The successful applicant will be an experienced statistician with an interest in researching new statistical methods to improve efficiency in clinical trials and the ability to apply statistical knowledge across oncology trials. Requirements include:
* Post-graduate qualification in statistics.
* Solid understanding of clinical trials and experience applying statistical methods to real-world data.
* Familiarity with Bayesian statistics is highly desirable.
* Effective oral and written communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration across disciplines.
Department/Directorate Information
ICR-CTSU manages a portfolio of national and international phase II and III clinical trials, with an expanding number of early-phase I/II cancer trials. You will contribute to methodological innovations and efficient methods in trials, focusing on early-phase and adaptive trials, within a multi-disciplinary team.
This role is office-based; hybrid working may be considered after successful training if the role allows. Flexible working options may be considered.
