I am recruiting a fantastic Deputy Director of Finance on a permanent basis for an Arms Length Body. Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer and with responsibility to lead the finance function, you will use your exceptional management skills and your financial expertise to motivate and lead the finance and procurement teams whist delivering continuous improvement.
Day to day you will be responsible for:
Leading the annual business planning and budgeting cycle, producing the annual financial plan in line with the strategy.
Developing and delivering the financial management strategy
Ensuring that there is a robust financial control environment, along with the provision of high quality operational finance services.
Leading the strategic management and direction of internal audit and counter fraud arrangements
Managing the delivery of the annual accounts and contributing analysis and insight that will be of value to the readers of our annual report.
Leading the provision of procurement services, ensuring deliver of value for money through commercial arrangements, and compliance with delegated authorities and controls on third party expenditure.
Driving improvement in the delivery of services and contributing to the implementation of policy and other changes.
Analyse and interpret complex information, financial data and statistics to assess issues, identify trends, anticipate issues and generate solutions or forecasts
Working with operational and corporate teams to co-ordinate the annual financial planning process
and contribute to the delivery and oversight of the annual business plan, reviewing and refreshing
analysis and plans supporting the five year strategy.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in a growing and developing organisation. To be considered for the role you will need to be a CCAB qualified finance professional with significant expertise in all areas of finance as well as extensive experience in public sector finance. You will also need to be an accomplished leader and have management experience.
The role is being offered on a hybrid basis with travel to London or Leeds as and when required. The salary band is £91,342 to £105,337
