Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for managing domestic and export debts, ensuring accurate sales ledger administration and supporting the wider finance function.
As part of the Credit Control team, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining strong financial health across the business. From chasing payments and reconciling accounts, to preparing information for legal proceedings when required, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding cash flow and building positive customer relationships.
You’ll also support with new customer account setups, monitoring credit limits in line with company policy and working closely with business development managers and internal departments to resolve queries. Month end responsibilities will include reconciliations, running reports and issuing statements. Alongside this, you’ll assist with invoice updates for their partner company, petty cash reconciliations, foreign currency handling and occasional purchase ledger cover during holiday or sickness periods.
This role offers a great mix of responsibility and teamwork, where you’ll report directly to the Senior Credit Controller and contribute to meeting company collection targets.
Salary & Benefits:
£25,000 per annum.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break).

To be considered for this role, you will need:
Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent).
Previous credit control or debt collection experience (training will be provided).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A reliable, flexible team player with integrity, attention to detail, and a sense of humour.
Desirable skills include:
Intermediate-level Excel and Word proficiency.
