Overview
Senior Research Associate opportunity in the laboratory of Dr. Amit Sachdeva, School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, University of East Anglia. This position is funded by Cancer Research UK. The proposed research aims to develop reliable and ultrafast methods for detection of cancer biomarkers. This full-time post is available from 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026. Salary on appointment will be £38,784 per annum, with an annual increment up to £46,049 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the research programme, analyse and interpret data, write up results in peer-reviewed journals, and present information on research progress.
Qualifications
* PhD-level qualification in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry or related fields with significant independent laboratory experience in molecular biology and biochemistry.
* Experience in directed evolution-based approaches and/or organic synthesis of small molecules will be advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to analyse and interpret data; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
