Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced SEMH teaching assistant for an interim job in Staffordshire, West Midlands (ST10 3ER). If you are a SEND (SEMH) specialist who is available immediately or from May half term 2025, we would be keen to speak with you. If you are an experienced teaching assistant who has worked with SEND (SEMH) across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. The role is offered as an interim, full-time post based at a small, well established alternative provision school. Typically, the site caters for pupils aged 7-17 with SEND requirements such as SEMH and ASD. A tour of the site and an informal meeting with the Headteacher can be arranged. Typically, the duties of this role will be as follows: • Sport – playing football with students/taking students off site for football/gym • 1:1 support If you are experienced in PRICE (restraint/de-escalation techniques) or similar, this will be an advantage in your application. This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners.
